A voucher can be bought at any time, the recipient (trainee) can arrange with us, a day to suit both. This is open ended once purchased, there is no time limit on the voucher.
Get a peek into how items of jewellery such as you see on this website are made, learning new skills and perhaps inspriring a new hobby, or a new business venture of your own. We can provide a great deal of information about further training and resources should you wish to further your knowledge beyond this taster session.
We can only take adults on this course. Trainees, one at a time due to the size of our studio (although we are building a new studio workshop soon, which will enable us to expand).
Please ensure you give us any dietary requirements and let us know if you have any specific allergies. Our workshop is located at our home, a smallholding that may include animals and livestock also if you have any specific issues with cats or dogs please let us know.
For the day: We ask you to make sure that if you have long hair it is tied back securely and your clothing is suitable for a workshop environment (no open toed shoes/sandals for example). Long or false nails may hamper your efforts at work-holding so we advise you not to wear these whilst you are with us.
If you have any other questions, queries or requirements please let us know prior to the day. Contact details and a map will be provided prior to your training day.
We hold insurance that allows us to train at our site for jewellery making.
Our workshop is kept as clean as possible bearing in mind its use. We have supplies of top quality hand-sanitiser for you and your trainer to use. Hand tools are wiped down with sanitiser in between user sessions. Please bring a suitable mask with you. Trainer and trainee will use a mask when in close proximity, a face shield can also be provided if you wish to use one.
If you have any symptoms of the virus or have been in close proximity to anyone else who has the virus, please let us know and we will rearrange your training session for a later time. We have taken great pains to steer clear of the virus as we have been shielding an elderly and vulnerable relative - and continue to do so.
Please get in touch if you have any questions or concerns.
